All are warmly invited to attend the 2025 Public Humanities Symposium hosted by the Alice Kaplan Institute for the Humanities at Northwestern on April 17-18. This celebration of publicly engaged humanities work will feature:
A Keynote talk from MacArthur Fellow Dr. Nicole Fleetwood, author of Marking Time: Art in the Age of Mass Incarceration (2020)
An award ceremony and a lunchtime talk with this year’s Public Humanities Award winner, artist and activist Dorothy Burge
An interactive exhibit and discussion of Public Humanities projects from our 2024-25 Public Humanities Graduate Practicum Fellows.
